Ho, ho, ho it’s the holiday season and we’re calling, texting, emailing, and engaging in digital communication like never before, but at least, thanks to Edward Snowden who initiated a historic debate about surveillance and privacy we now know our private communications aren’t as private as we thought, the NSA is tuning in and collecting massive amounts of our data. But, perhaps Judge Richard Leon’s recent court decision, the recommendations of a government panel on surveillance policy and pressure on Congress to abolish the spy agency’s surveillance programs will finally dump the lump of coal in the NSA’s stocking it so deserves.
